Havent got one yet, but will soon. Is a 4500 in factory settings still better than any gp series? was just curious to know as they are a bit harder to learn than other detectors, or so I'm told.
I'm sure not many would use it in factory settings, but am just interested in that question only.
Cheers

Hi Gold fever
Detecting for the past week with 2 x GP extremes(1 nugget) and a 4500(13 nuggets).Factory settings are fine for general use.The main difference we are finding is the ability to use mono coils and handle the ironstone and wet red clay. The 4500 is very easy to use if you are new to detecting and runs nice and quiet.

Good onya neale, gold doesn't come easy but the 4500 will definitely help. The standard coil in mono is great on small gold, notch your RX up a bit if conditions allow.
