Had to pick up a script for my wife from the Chemist about 4 hours ago? I asked about buying Mercury for recovering fine gold from black sand's! Reply was, how much do you need and how soon do you need it! My reply was not for a couple of months, thanks, I just wanted to know if it's still available, their reply was we always have about a kilo on hand, if you need more than that we'll have to order it in! I didn't ask for a price, when I walked away I thought " why didn't I ask for a price"

Attitude its all about attitude!

Yeh it can suck, you need to speak with the actual Chemist! 12 years ago I was chasing Nitric acid, they put me straight on to a supplier, 20 lts of 70% for $35.00! Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks Minermike, No I'm not in the market for it! Just wanted to test the waters to see how hard it is to buy considering 15 years ago it was easily bought!
I still have about 4 ounces so I'm good for quite a while.
Your dirty merc is easily cleaned with Nitric acid and a tad of heat "Out doors only" If you don't know what your doing don't do it! Then recover the merc with copper plates?
