can anybody tell me what happens when a mine goes into liquidation? is it possible to be granted permission to prospect there? and how to go about it? can mines dept override the mines innital decission?

If a company is in receivership, they still own the leases. They are an asset to be managed / sold by the receiver.

I had a heap of View Resources when they went arse up - a week after announcing they were on target to achieve their quarterly production target !
