Has Tesoro folded??

Some rumours floating about the space time continuum that Tesoro has closed or has been bought by someone else???
Anybody else heard anything??

Well there goes some serious metal detecting history.
What a bloody shame. Their detectors were simple and efficient and worked well, I have used a few Tesoro's over the years without probs from any of them. I still have my sand Shark and Super Traq.
Maybe they did not keep up with the competition.
The only thing they lacked was a really good salt beach machine and Gold Field machine. The Super Traq has remained unchanged  since when it was first introduced, and Tesoro have never had a ground balancing vlf discriminator that could handle wet and dry salt sand beaches.
