Hi all, we have just taken an interest in detecting/fossicking and are preparing to travel. Haven't decided on a detector yet. Visited Broken Hill, White Cliffs area earlier this month for 10 days and just for a laugh bought an $80 detector from Cheap as Chips. Wound up finding several dollars, sinkers and cans on the shores of lake Copi Hollow. Look forward to reading through the forum. Curlwaakid

Welcome to the forum curlwaakid. Ask what ever questions you might have regarding the prospecting side of things, for there's a lot of info & knowledgeable people on here to help out with advice.

Thanks Kon. Found the forum as we were told of the Teetupla gold fields being a great place to detect. Have since found the post in this forum showing the unfriendliness of Australian Tailings group. This is a great forum.
