stolen detector items
Dear Thieves, On Sat night 28/7/18 you broke into my garage and ute and stole nearly all my detecting gear worth $5400. 6 coils, 1 PLB, mobile phone, one GPS, one SP01, UHF radio, car and house keys, HN7 Navigator Elinz 800A jumpstarter. Sennheiser head phones 2 Minelab GPX batteries.
The serial number for the Rescueme PLB is 0141001123P. 19" NF Evo, spoked. Serial no. 18569. 15" NF Evo spoked. serial no. E10901.
The PLB and the mobile phone would be useless for you because if you activate the PLB the coppers will get you in no time. The phone can be tracked by the police and Telstra. WOuld you please put the PLB and phone into my letter box, ( you know my address). Hermann.

Re: stolen detector items
Sorry to hear that mate. Thieves will go to any lengths to get what they won't. Do you think that they were targeting those items or was it a general break in.??

stolen items
HI Wombat, I don't think that it was a general break-in. My house is fair bit off the road and the house and garage are protected by trees and bushes. I think they knew where I live and what I do. They only took items that work with the Mnelab GPX detector and some other good detecting gear. THey wer'nt interested in my Goldsnoop detector, that thing was not good enough for them. My ute is at the moment at the dealership getting new keys and locks installed. They had to send a tow truck to get it to the dealership. If you see a Minelab harness with a camaflage Camelback sewn on, it's mine. I was sewing the Camelback to the harness and my sewing looks pretty unproffesional with thread of a light brown colour. Cheers, Hermann

Re: stolen detector items
Sorry to hear this, makes me sick in the stomach.
Hopefully they will be caught and sent to Loddon prison
where they will be restricted to :
2 swimming pools
2 footy- cricket ovals
4 tennis courts
basket ball courts
lawn bowl green
vegetable plots
gyms
apartment type accommodation
And Conjugal rights!
Why would you fear being sent to this err, "jail" ?
Where's the deterrence?

stolen detector items
Pity the jail conditions are not like what Oscar Wilde had to contend with (see his letters to the Daily Chronicle ).........Forty men to a twenty man cell, one slop bucket for all forty of them, sleeping on concrete floors (no blanket), open barred window (no heating or cooling)....................

Re: stolen detector items
Hermann, sorry to hear of the theft of your gear. Maybe if you have any serial numbers it would be worth posting them up.

Re: stolen detector items
You have to try and out think thieves . Ask your self how would I try and steal this ? If you put in a security system , also put in a hidden one . They can disable the main one . Years ago I knew an electrician that had to put in 2 video recorders in bottle shops . The robbers would demand the video tape , so they would give the one but had a back up !

During WW2 the Red Cross used to visit all the jails for blood collection as it was known that they, the prisoners had the healthiest blood due to their better diet.

Re: stolen detector items
Sorry to hear this Hermann. I hope you find your gear. This stuff makes my blood boil. These guys need to be sorted out bush style. That country club Slim's speaking of is certainly no deterrent. I will keep an eye out for you...

Arseholes who stole from Hermann
The t*rds who stole from Hermann must be in the prospecting community every one needs to keep their eyes open and report cheap items for sale. Lock up all of your gear it is sad when you can not trust other prospectors.
