Hi there folks just saying G’day
I can’t remember how long ago I joined this forum my guess is about 6 years ago I think that is about how long I have been thinking about getting a detector and this being my first post I have finally decided on a minelab 4500 , so once I recover from my hip replacement in May I might be back for some advice so until then ladies and gentlemen happy hunting.

Thanks Kon I was putting on my shoes and socks 7 weeks after my first hip replacement so hoping to be in the field by November only a few more decisions to make a coiltek coil or nuggtfinder thinking I might go with a 12x7 and a Sadie

Fingers crossed it all goes well for you this time round too swagman. As for your choice of coil selection (unless you prefer the 12x7 & or 8x6 Sadie simply for manoeuvrability or for getting/poking into tighter places) a 14x9 Evo or Coiltek Elite mono, would just about cover the best of both worlds sensitivity/depth wise. This is not to be taken as gospel though, only my opinion.

Thanks for the advice Kon is that the 17x11 coiltek elite you are taking about? Also I am wondering if anyone with a bad back uses one of those bungee setups and if so do they help?
Cheers

The Coiltek Elite mono, comes in 14x9 solid (Cammo colour) as well as in the 17x11 mono configuration.
Personally, I would not do without the use of the bungee/swing arm set up. It takes a lot of strain off ones back/shoulders.
I'v sent you a pm swagman, check your pm.
Cheers Kon.
