Some Finds from The Early Days.
This is what's left of finds from my early days of tecting with a Fisher 553D in the 70s..I think.
The ring is the first gold ring I ever found. It was in a dried out swamp near Creswick
I have several jars of pennies and half pennies that could do with a clean.

I can not recall where I found those 50s Maybe they are ring ins. They are in the finds box so I must have found them. I should go through my pre decimals finds . coz there are a lot of early one and two cent pieces and a lot of 66 to 68 one and two dollar coins. Most of the recent ones and two's (dollars) got turned into petrol or burgers. .

Re: Some Finds from The Early Days.
These from a 15 min detect this morning at Pine Island with the SST.
The watch has been in the river ground/sand a while and the gravel , sand rock and ash has grown around it. Naa dosn't werk.
The sil chain and pendant boomed an overload signal at approx 6 to 8 inches.
The alumin pop rivet head is shown just to indicate how small a target the SST can correctly ID at approx 6 inches.
I like this tecta. Simple, easy as pie to operate, has quite accurate visual and audio TID and has fixed and auto tracking and can nail small gold chain down to a couple of g
A bit later today.
On closer inspection this watch has fallen into a fire, the case has melted and the sand and dirt has been absorbed into the melted rubber case.
Interesting coz the ash from the fire is below the water line. Maybe somebody tried to rescue the watch from the fire by tossing the watch and ashes into the river.
