12 volt Air Compressor
Hi has anyone got a good reliable Air Compressor that they have purchased recently, that doesn’t cost an arm
and a leg. Something affordable, reliable and compact? I caught the tale end of a 4x4 program doing a comparison test and unfortunately missed the results.
Cheers Wassa

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
Purchased a Compressor from E Bay last year. The brand is X-Bull and cost around $100, Comes in a zippered bag and seems quite capable at doing its job, pumping tyres (Z59s),and Air Bags.

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
I have the single cylinder Thumper air from the store Doug mentioned and is an excellent bit of gear.

I'd suggest waiting til it comes on special again, seems to be regularly discounted.

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
Had an older cheaper one , came to use it, after a few years and the hose split up . Into many bits , got around the problem , my mate had one with him that did the job on a trailer . So, if you have had one for a few years , think about replacing the hose .

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
I bought one of the Britpart/Landrover double piston compressors, it is very fast that you can see it lifting the truck when the tyre is flat from 17psi to about 35psi take under one minute,
I tried to load the picture but the software here has sent it somewhere, Why it has to be so complicated is beyond me so I won't be posting anymore pictures.

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
Bought a Bushranger about 10 years back, has pumped countless tyres. We fit split rims when we get to the camp and bush bash on them needless to say multiple puncture repairs over the years.
Compressor still going strong.
Bought this one, $350.00 new;

Re: 12 volt Air Compressor
I can concur with Nightjar as I have one as an emergency back-up to my engine driven 8cub.ft/min compressor on my 4WD.
