newbie to QLD prospecting

Hello all, thx 4 the add,,, we are going to be relocating to Hervey Bay 2018, I will be hoping to meet other prospectors for outings . I have an SDC2300, a Nokta Fors CoRe. I also enjoy panning ,i have a compact sluice box and equip... Also i will be looking forward to updating to a new 4wd with grunt.
 will post questions on  prospecting areas within 4hrs drive from the Bay.               CHEERS
