Almost threw this 16.55g speci away thinking it was a piece of trash iron from the old timers.Rubbed it a couple of times to reveal a spec of gold.

After cleaning in a few acid baths a couple of grams fell out with the ironstone,no quartz in this one.Ended up 12.85g of gold.

Very nice iron stone specie there Steve. T06 Congrats for a nice find and your partner for the snake buckle. Q27 I found a couple of those about 30yrs ago and still have them today.
