crikey...how fine is that gold? 
......naturally I take what ever gold I can get but I have so far left the microscopic bit alone, 
maybe I am missing out, sound like interesting gadgets though

But if you have a laptop, you can buy USB microscopes for around 20 bucks or so off eBay. I have one I used for electronics work, and they are pretty good. Just plug it in, and use any cam viewing software. I used Yawcam, which worked pretty well and it is free.
