Sorry for this late report, as it has taken me awhile to put this together with help from our committee. This years Laanecoorie Gold Bash looks like turning out being bigger and better than last year. The Bash kicks of at about 5.pm with the Park putting on some very nice nibbles. Then at about 6pm our traditional Fish and Salad dinner cooked to perfection by the Carisbrook Loin Club.  But this year we have an extra bonus to go with the fish, “OYSTERS”, compliments of one very generous member from another forum. ( I won’t name him as he may get embarrassed) But you know who you are. “Thank You” again (if you are looking in) for your geniuses offer. I’m sure they will go down very well. Then we have the opening of the “Gold Bash”  by the Mayor of Lodden Shire. Followed by a Trivia Quiz with a prize for the winner or winners. Then entertainment of music from 50’s to the 80’s by Mark O’liver. This will be around a fire pit outside the Rec room. Finishing of at about 11.00pm

Saturday you will see our Sponsors Stalls & Car Boot Sales, Blacksmithing, Gold Pouring, Rock Crushing, Kids Gold Panning & Coin Detecting, Lectures. There will be a Token Hunt & Guess The Weight Of The Nugget, both with great prizes happening over the weekend.  A 3 hour Detector Training will be happening out in the field on Saturday & Sunday morning with Darren Kemp from Gold & Relic Gold Tours. Booking is essential. We have Gold Buyers there. So bring along your gold if you want to turn it into “CASH” Good deals happening.
We have also included in this years Gold Bash, 4 X4 vehicle set up’s and lectures. There will be Camping Gear and Camper Trailer displays. Gold Sluicing & High Banking displays. Gem Stones, & Gold Nugget Displays.

Saturday night, we start of with our traditional Roast Dinner put on by the Lakeside Caravan Park. Followed by the Jim Stewart Memorial Trophy Presitation. Then we will be having the Police Search & Rescue boys giving us a Lecture about “Survival in the Bush” if you get lost and what to do. And that is followed by our BIG Raffle. Then may be music again for the 50’s to the 80’s .

Sunday morning will see almost the same thing as Saturday activities.
Sunday afternoon kicks of about 1pm with the announcements and presentations to the winners of the Coin Hunt, and guess the weight of the Nugget. Then the BIG AUCTION.  If you are looking for a bargain this is where it happens. Then the Closing of the Bash. At about 2.30 - 3 .00pm

We also now have our own Laanecoorie Gold Bash Merchandise with the Bash Logo on it. These are, Coffee Mugs, Stubby Holders & Caps, for sale.

There will be programs obtainable at the Park Office on arrival. And we have the Carisbrook Lions Club doing the Catering  again this year from Friday lunch time till Sunday lunch. Fantastic food at very good prices. We also have a Coffee Van there this year as well.

Please everyone remember this is a Fund Raising Weekend for Peter MacCallum. And our aim this year is to get over the $20,000 mark. So please if you can, come along cashed up. We do have card services at the Front Office of the Park for your convenience on expensive items for the auction.  
It is a Free Entry to the Park unless you have booked in and staying. Car Parking at the front and signed parking around the back of the Park. And also road signs out around the area showing you where the Caravan Park is. If you are not sure, Google “Laanecoorie Lakeside Caravan Park”

HI Bill,

My wife and I are all packed and ready to roll.

We will be spending a few days at my small block over there before heading to the BASH Friday AM.

Looking forward to seeing every single great person who attends.

You have done the BASH proud again BILL.

When we buy meal tickets etc when registering on arrival, is that with cash only option?

Pay for the Saturday roast at front desk upon arrival and fish dinner for friday night when you register for the bash

Yes mate we try and only work with cash as cards are only used for big ticketed item at the Sundays Auction

You pay for your Friday night fish dinner when registering $8.00, per head. You will be given a meal ticket.
For Saturdays night Roast dinner has to be paid at the Caravan Park Office as they are the one's that are putting that on. You can do that on entry of the Park. That is $15 per head.
