Central Goldfield Branch meeting - 25th Sept 2016 Empty Central Goldfield Branch meeting - 25th Sept 2016

Post  Guest Fri Sep 23, 2016 8:46 am

Our last meeting of the Central Goldfield Branch that was held on the 21st. Sept at the Maryborough Highland Society, saw about 15 members turning up. This night we did not have a guest speaker, but John Tully gave a run down on the history of the area that the Branch is planing to go to this Sunday. We started of with the normal formalities, welcoming guests and members, apologies, secretary & treasures reports and the outstanding business. We discussed getting a First aid kit to take out on the field, and to possibly having a member of Saint John's at one of our meeting to discuss first aid. Then a reminder of membership renewals that are now due.
We have also now purchased a sheet of 1mm thick Polycarbonate sheeting for anyone  who would like to use this instead of purchasing a new skid plate for their coils. The cost is 80c per 100 mm# to members. Non members $1 per 100mm#
We now can add another new member to our committee, Mark Askham. Thanks Mark for coming on board. Q27  We then went through local flood reports, increase of Mozzie activity in the field, John Tully Ghost Settlement tour, show and tell (one of our members found a lovely nugget), Laanecoorie Gold Bash report, and then, last months field trip report. Followed with the drawing of the nights raffle.
Our next field trip is again in the Maryborough area. It is this Sunday (25th. Sept) meeting on the corner of Moonlight Rd & Scott Lane (just of the Pyrenees Hwy heading towards Avoca) at 9.30am. All PMAV members welcome and guests. We are having a BBQ lunch as the last one was a great success.
