New Begginer!! Brisbane Area! Eager To Learn And Hopefully Tag Along!

Hey guys!! Newbie over here!!! I'm Searching for an adventure buddy! I've always been pretty interested in fossicking and never really know how to go about it, however i have always been pretty eager in the search for the "addictive yellow stuff"... you know what I mean! 
Anyway I'm located in Queensland, I reside at Waterford west or at Samford village. If anyone in the area would be keen for me to tag along on a day trip please get in contact with myself, eager to learn and just enjoy a day out
I haven't any of my own equipment, only a cheap detector that seems to of found me a few dozen sinkers at the beach and being strapped for cash I didn't really want to waste money on things I have no idea about. 22 years of age with my own transport. So if anyone would be keen let me know. Thankyou!!
