Ferrite rings Empty Ferrite rings

Hi All

Are all ferrite rings the same??
Most prospecting shops are selling them for around 20 bucks
But on Ebay you can get the same ferrite ring (looks the same) for only 3 or 4 bucks
Same size same colour example 2 here for only $3.23 free post

I wanted a spare in case of breakage or loss, just wanted to know if there is any difference between the Minelab ones and other cheaper ones?
will the 7000 ground balance the same?

Thanks in advance
regards
Mick

G'day Mick

I don't know for sure, there not very expensive so get one and try it, first try over the original supplied one from Minelab and then the cheap one, see if there is any difference.  Your not going to harm anything except maybe not get the proper GB with the cheap one.

This one is probably closer to the specs than the one in your ebay link.
