Not in it, but in and around areas where Jasper is in the gold producing areas, Jasper and Ironstone areas with some Quartz is worth a look.

In the Tennant Creek (NT) region large lenses of Jasper occur which are interlaced with thin (gold bearing) quartz veins.
We picked up some of this jasper from old mine mullock dumps showing quartz veins no more than 1mm. thick.
At one old stamper site we visited, the sand dump was a dark blood red and much finer than sugar.
