Latest in good mobile phones? Empty Latest in good mobile phones?

Post  Imadogman Sat Oct 03, 2015 5:35 pm

I'm looking to get a new phone and there is a dazzling array out there to choose from.

Android, Iphone in all their combos,

Telstra, Vodaphone, Optus...

I would like to be able to use it with google earth as a gps device and I would like it to have good country coverage and I want to be able to use it to browse net email etc. My ute has a broomstick and port that I have had into a Telstra blue tick phone but reception has not been flash to say the least.

Any thoughts on what are good phones now? Many of the posts in the forum on this are years old, so looking to start a new thread to freshen things up.

G'day Steve

We have been using Telstra Frontier ZTE T81 has blue tick and antenna port for patch cable to the antenna, runs 4g or 3g if no 4g about, it's Android, been very happy with these in WA and elsewhere. Can browse and email etc, can fit big micro SD cards to run things like Oziexplorer for mapping etc, has GPS built in

Ours were about $100 at Dicksmiths

cheers dave
