nf evolution
Hi there dignit, Have been out using the new nf evo 17 x 13 with my 4500 and i can say it works very well so far, have just got back from WA with some great results, Here in the GT tested the evo against my trusty 14x9 advantage which i know is not the same for depth but was curious on the sensitivity , was at a spot that i had worked very hard for 37 bits , the spot was only roughly 6x6 meters around and used my 17x11 adv and my trusty 14x9 adv and had thought id cleaned out completely , on the day i tested i managed to locate 4 new targets with the new evo at my spot with some surprise, before digging targets i ran my 14x9 over marked targets only to hear only 1 out of the 4 targets and even that response was very very quiet, switched again to the new evo and target response was very noticeable, basically the 14x9 was missing these targets, i have tested with my machine running in enhance , fixed tracking , rx gain 9, with stabilizer 11, was running very quiet. Removing an inch of dirt proved to be targets on all , all were missed bits off gold and only very small gold, smallest not even registering on scales largest being .2 gram and all targets were down at between 3 and 6 inches, So very sensitive i found new coil so far specially in with the tiny gold , as for larger gold i have not found any large deep gold as of yet but have the confidence if i walk over that deep piece this is the coil i want on, did manage to snag a couple of 2.5 grammars and a 5 grammar at 5-6 inches in WA and just over 20grams in smalls over a 12 day trip, as i said very sensitive coil , but most coils could have picked up those nuggets in Wa also. you do have however more ground coverage for more open areas but in tight scrubby areas is harder to swing. weight wise its good, i use a hipstick so is fine to swing longer periods. Hope this helps you.
