GPZ 7000 settings
I have recently purchased the above from Charters Towers, presently I am at Clermont. I have been having a lot of problems with the threshold not running smooth, being more familiar with the 5000 it seems to be very noisy. I would presume I am missing faint signals?
A fellow 7000 user in the park advised me to raise the threshold and reduce the sensitivity has anyone had any success with this or does anyone have any other settings they can recommend.
Also have a black line vertically on left side of machine screen that has recently appeared. have contacted minelab they told me it would not effect the performance but to return it to them when finished detecting here.(anyone with this problem) ?
any help would be appreciated
regards Joe

G'day Joe
Do a reset of the machine to get back to factory settings and the machine will find gold in these settings, tweek it from there once you get used to it.

Speciman.
When you first turn on the detector the first screen is the one you need to be in, the QUICK START screen. I think it is coloured green. Press the SELECT button, i.e. the TICK and the screen will change and you should see the following on the screen.
RESET - in the middle of the screen at the very top.
KEEP CURRENT SETTINGS - on the left hand side of the screen (If you select this the detector will auto tune but keep your settings)
RESET AUDIO AND DETECTOR SETTINGS - On the right hand side. This is highlighted by default and by selecting this the detector will auto tune and reset everything back to the factory defaults.
All of this should be in the "Getting Started Guide" that should have come with the detector. This info is on page 11. Maybe they stopped including it in the later detectors.
Regards Axtyr.

Re: GPZ 7000 settings
There is another place in the menu system to reset all settings.
Scroll through the 7000's menu to the last page and find the "Reset All" this clears the time zone and language and all settings and everything.

Re: GPZ 7000 settings
No, just return all settings to their factory preset state & empty the GeoStore.
