Hi Greg, almost exclusively on deep now, had enough of the birdshot. However, there are times when you don't want to go too deep, like the floors of gullies which are full of deep, interesting pieces of shite metal junk. Today I did the head of a gully in deep for a couple of hours, got nothing, then put it high yield to do the gully floor and walls. Pulled out 9 bird shot and one nugglet. (Still managed to pull out a piece of steel from about 16 inches in the side wall )

Slim deep has caught me out many times on deep trash.

HY + Hi Sm = nil

HY + No Sm = 8 bits for 2g 0.5 at 9 inches

Gen Hi Sm 2 foot plus for faint signal that started to scream out result bloody clay dome that wouldn't balance out. yes I was counting chickens.
