Hi , my name is Rusty , my wife and I are interested in the idea of hunting for gold as a fun thing to do while getting away from it all.  We are based in Brisbane ,so South east Queensland will probably be our starting point .  Neither of us have any experience in this area , and would love to hear from anyone who could give us some advice on which reasonably priced gold detector that would work in and around rocks and the like .  Thanks Rusty

Welcome to the forum.

With the new detector that has come out gpz7000
There are some good bargains to be had..
If your budget allows ... The gpx4500 or the gpx5000 are a good gold finding machines
So are the previous models. 

Anyway enjoy the forum..
