Best 17" eliptical mono coil for 4500

Thinking of buying a larger eliptical coil what's my best option i currently use a coiltec 9x14 very happy with its performance but would like a bit more coverage i also have 18" coiltec but is a bit restrictive in vegetation your thoughts please.

while I haven't used the newer Advantage, I have the older white Nugget finder 17" eliptical and love it.
Very sharp and responsive coil with decent depth, very light and quite manouverable even in rough ground with lots of sticky uppy thingies

I have a 18x12 Goldstalker thats pretty good. Good depth and also very sensitive to small stuff. Can detect a boot tack no probs. What i've found with it though is that you can hear noises when you brush over weeds etc. I don't know if this is normal.
Good luck getting one though, I've been waiting 6 weeks with no response.
I could always get a knock-off one from china for $120 + delivery but I'm OK for snow shoes ATM.

Undertaker, are you ordering a second 18x12 Goldstalker, or a different brand / model ?

I purchased a 14x9 Goldstalker mono in June after my 17" NF Mono crapped itself. The goldstalker was so noisy when you hit anything, that there was no way I could hear those quiet targets. I took it back to the seller and got my money back. I used my super quiet 12" NF ellip after that - with great success.

Thanks for your response. I just ordered a 18x12 so I could resell on Ebay and make a quick buck, pay bills etc, you understand. But it now appears that there is a 18x12 for every man, woman and child in South Africa so the price is falling. I would have felt guilty selling it on anyway because after all it's only a bit of wire and plastic. I feel ripped off paying $400 for one so just imagine how these poor people feel paying $4000.
It's interesting how you also had noise problems with your goldstalker. Maybe it's normal for them, but you'd think after more than a decade of product development they would have solved this problem.

I think the quick buck days are nearly gone with the coiltek stuff, i sold one a while ago and they (sudanese) were chasing nugget finder 17x11 ! ( I had to accept only 100% markup.... )

Maybe they are getting wary of the fakes, sorry snow shoes flooding thhe market
Give it a couple of weeks and the chinese will have copied the 17x11....

So, 17x11 is the go, I hear skid plates are as thin as your favourite rubber though. But very sensitive

100% mark up is still OK, but when you consider all the _ss crawling and d$ck kissing you have to go through to get one, its beginning to look like hard work.
The real profits were when they were selling the commander15x12 for over $3000, around a 700% profit. Those were the days my friend. Unfortunately though I also missed that one because I didn't have the foresight. Who would of known that this very ordinary piece of crap would be in such demand.
