Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Yeah targets a definete "stop here",videod all of them, one was pretty faint.
First 10-15 mins dave she was a bit off its head then settled down slowly, threshold a bit chattery, more time fiddling may fix that but i can live with it.
Weve hit that pretty hard, was surprised to walk in there and start pinging gold,i didnt have time to squeez a smoke in for 45 mins, was getting peed off
PS: hot ground,Gem seemed to be going ok yeah, think you could get it running bit quieter when ya know it a bit better......

Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Gee Goldchaser, thanks for showing us all.
You know....... you did really well in that heat over where you are.
Listening to your heavy breathing.. You sounded buggered.
38degrees.. Maybe hotter..
If your impressed with this new machine, that's all I needed to hear.
Now it's just a matter of time when someone swings their coil over a thumper..
Oh by the way... Don't clean W.A out But you can eat the flys for me

Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Tame ground there gold chaser. You get many hot rocks?
We got quite a few. But found they produced just one reasonable signal compared to double signal on gold.

Yeah that spots probably the best in the area, quartz reef up threw the laterite so its not to bad, still far from quiet, you'll never run a 45 in normal on it,nearby gets worse but consistant,1 1/2 hrs i ran it no didnt see a hot rock.....

Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Well done, but from what I've seen so far, the Zed isn't picking up anything yet that the 2300 wouldn't have got. Looking forward to someone swinging on some deep ground.

Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Cheers fellas,
Not riveting stuff but i was surprised to walk into that spot and pick up signals straight away, just hope the deeper settings perform as well as high yield, that is the question,i didn't buy it to ping this stuff but it seems so sensative with a 14" coil its a bit hard to beleive.
Harry thanks, got prob 15yrs behind me now so yeah a bit of experience but a gun operator im not, last few years ive tried to work on my detector skills and its helped, heap of blokes out there that run rings around me with a detector, ive been around some of you blokes from vic and some just astound me with what they do with a detector....
Anyway i was quite happy, alot of dosh is $10700 so just that tid bit today put my mind at ease a little, and i'll say it again "a little"
Hope ya's enjoyed it not much footage of it in action about at the moment.....
Cheers

Re: GPZ pinging gold on old spot
Thanks for the videos Dave, this is a big learning experience for everybody, I would love to see someone swinging a gpx 5000 and then do some comparisons between the 2 detectors so we can see what differences there are on each target.
