Come to think of it does the 7000 pick up bird shot,might be tricky to locate with the 14".Also I wonder how it handles the beach and black sand?.All questions soon to be revealed.

the 7k doesnt have salt mode--just difficult ground...so u might be struggling..

Being a 'new technology' (ie. magnetic, ZVT) I've no idea if salt is even an issue (although it appears there is an RF pulse sent back from the target).
Would the concept of an AI type coil even make sense; even if it were a totally different winding?
