Just for interest - over the years I have collected many additional (non-metal detecting) items along the way. I was in the process of moving when someone asked - what did I pay for some of this equipment (most of this is second-hand: with the exception of the dry washer and a few other small pieces). Overall, it has worked out about the same as a new GPX 5000. For those not buying the GPZ 7000 or new to prospecting - there is still an amazing array of (cheaper but still good quality) equipment available.

4 in good condition GPX 4000s, 3 in very good condition 4500s & or 2 in top condition, still under warranty 5000s. and all with a string of accompanying coils Laughing That's what $10,700 will get you today. $10,700 for a detector control housing you were all ready over stocked on. Good job Minelab. I see you'v gone straight for the jugular.Shocked
