Your talking the cheap Chinese GFX7000 and not the Minelab GPZ 7000 I take it. The GFX7000 won't do anything like the Minelab GPZ 7000 but it may cost a bit less, so good luck with it.

gfx7000
yes its from china but it goes down to 3 foot as it end up being a horse shoe and it finds the smaller gold tested against a 5000 and the 4500 got the same depth good for $1700

Re: GFX7000 DETECTOR - Chinese
Ever try to get a decent threshold setting on one of those cheap chinese counterfeits?
Near impossible.
There is a counterfeit 5000 hanging over my counter so that people can see what to look for and not get ripped off.

GFX 7000
hi yes I also have tried the china gpx5000 and sent it back to them as it did not have good threshold and would not balance properly a very nasty 5000 could not detect small nuggets as I found out there are many making the gpx5000 copys as I found out no good... I gambled again on a detector the gfx7000 on testing it worked balanced good very stable and good threshold found 12nuggets 2 .4 .6 nuggets and dug for them.as it did go down 3 foot on some metal on the 11 inc mono loop I tried the 18 inc mono loop it worked fine old sd2100 mono loop I had .

This forum is not here to promote fake/copy detectors from china.
If you like the fake detectors that's good for you but a lot of members here think your telling porkies and its BS.

Hi travelergold
I hope that FOUND3REEFS responds favourably to your request.
Would put more credence in the comments of a member with over 500 posts than someone with 5 posts all contained in a topic that he/she started in the first place.
Come on FOUND3REEFS, the opportunity awaits!

Re: GFX7000 DETECTOR - Chinese
Rule of thumb, if the deals to good to be true, it normally is.
I know nothing of the operation/characteristics of the GFX-7000, just keep in mind, under most circumstances, one does get what they pay for. Only side by side testing with the original brand, will one clearly see the differences.
It is up to each individual here to do their own research/testing before committing to purchase, through hear say.
Cheers Kon.

Was that supposed to say "Chinese detector" or Chinese defector?

Re: GFX7000 DETECTOR - Chinese
I bought one out of curiosity after talking with ML a couple of years ago. It's a 4500 knock off, biggest problem is that only 1 in 10 at that time could GB because seta didn't work. The good thing was I got a complete refund of the money and kept the detector. I bought just because it is an EXACT copy of the gpx even ML couldn't tell the difference that's what prompted me to buy it. Maybe now they have succeeded in getting seta to work. If so then there would be no difference other than maybe the coil. Wouldn't chance buying another though. Maybe Paul got one that worked. Without SETA it won't GB other than that it would have been a good detector as it was after all a complete copy not a different detector even the boards screen printing said Minelabs and the correct software except as mentioned SETA wasn't set up.
