deepseeker123 wrote:It didnt give a very good signal on the big slug, i know it was 3 feet but it was BIG BIT OF GOLD, SMALL COIL I KNOW, but what do youse think? I think it will be a very good detector, but I dont think you will start getting 10 ouncers at 2 and a half feet.
but then if it starts to get lots of small bits that would be great!
its got an 11 inch coil which may be handy on under 1 grammers!
Deepseeker, what are you babbling on about the GPZ7000 is coming out standard with a 14" coil there maybe an 11" & 20" come out later. This is still speculation as they have not released this new detector as yet. Also look at this topic Heading as you are not on topic.

Sorry Mike I drift off topic all the time too!
Going by Deepseeker123's behaviour he could be just a boy.
Deepseeker123 if you are a lad you should've added your age when you signed up, they might of cut you a bit more slack, old prospectors can be a grumpy lot

G'day alchemist,
Yes I think we are all guilty of this, although when a new member does it, we tend to be less tolerant, which we find are here just to stir the pot and cause trouble amongst the good members.
Back to topic now thanks all.
Cheers.

Re: GPZ7000 SOLD OUT!
Yes it does sound like it will open up both old and new ground. The final price is still unknown but around 10.5k + or - a bit......More like + a bit I reckon.
I realy do like the sound of this detector. It appears to have a pretty squirty ground balance system. Be nice to have a play with one.
I know I can find gold with my Infinium but this newbie looks like it is going to set a new bench mark.

Re: GPZ7000 SOLD OUT!
I know of one dealer who took delivery of X amount of 7000's last Wednesday and sold out on Friday/Saturday.
I've seen a nice nugget over an ounce and a half found by one happy owner.

I've seen that same one too, happy owner said to us "I had my doubts at first, but now I'm convinced ", drops nugget into our hand. My first thought was an ounce, but when I felt the weight I thought no way.... it's heavier than it looks.

Re: GPZ7000 SOLD OUT!
I wish I had a lazy $10700 lying around as I would buy a few of these cheap 4500/5000s and sell them down the track 6 months later a make some nice coin off them

Its not hard to sell out of something when you only have a few to sell in the first place. Minelab is just going to drip feed its dealers to create the illusion that that are selling 100s at a time.
Ive seen myself just recently a fella pull a 2 ounce slug out of the ground with a GPX5000...whats your point?

My thoughts exactly too Mick. The size was deceiving.
