Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
GEEEEZ MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't we had enough speculation it's getting a bit old I need to something inspiring that makes me to the point where I would if I didn't have one so a fresh ray of from Minelab giving back a little to us before we outlay instead of the extortion expecting us to outlay before we know how it goes
Please note that the above statement may or may not be the opinion of me or any-one else here at the time of writing which could well have been affected by
Just having a bit of FUN you guy's remember what that is????????????
If it is proven beyond doubt that it is as good as we all want it to be I will still need to go into some serious "Negotiations" with my Oh so beautiful, caring & charming "super Model" Wife to even start to consider the new purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
I suspect whatever the price of these units are initially shouldn't really matter to the average hobbyist, within a short time there will be a healthy supply of them reach the used market either from those that have plenty of money but not what it takes to actually perform the whole process of detecting to any sustained degree, and lets face it if they are as good as they say retrieval is only likely to become more difficult, that along with any of the other factors such as changing health , time constraints etc. will guarantee that those who can not afford the new units will be able to buy one at a more realistic price...just as they have done in the past

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
Here go Slim...
I am guessing .... Maybe it's for online orders only
* GPZ 7000 Reservation Fee (+$500.00):
Reservation Fee ($500.00)
You must tick the GPZ 7000 Reservation Fee (+$500.00) option.
I wonder when they will be allowed to tell all?
As they are certainly taking orders

Thanks Jen.
The deposit is usually 10% of the full price isn't it?
Hmmm, I get $5000 full price. Not Bad.

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
Why not Jen???
It's basically a Ctx 30 30 with new guts and coil. A Ctx 30 30 cost $2500. Now double that to account for the new coil and new technology and Bobs your uncle, $5000.

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
What a joke $500 to reserve a spot,im on "the list" but im gonna remove myself from it,9-10k and then wait for coils?? Makes no difference to us,new grounds -new ground,gpz7000 can wait till next year,as wayne says there will be a few pop up used, doesn't matter what detector you have on your arm to some extent, don't put the groundwork in you won't do any good.
I reckon theres gonna be some dissapointed people, hoping gold will bulge from old ground,it just aint gonna happen.....

A expensive machine isn't going to find the gold for you if your not prepared to do the hard yards with it.
After all it doesn't come with a remote control, so you can sit on your backside.. Or will it
It must be going to be bloody expensive if minersden wants such a large deposit

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
Jen -Mick yeah the $500 deposit bit stinks a little,me and BJ spoke about it and thought no not this year,if people have sold their 45 or 5k to get one and coils dont come out for a while you might actually be at a disadvantage,on larger deep gold, some are smart not selling the gpx's,just don't see it beating a gpx with 18-20-25" coil with a 14" coil,be nice if minelab would say whats gonna be available etc, coils etc, hope it does punch deeper then a gpx with a 25 mono but i just cant see it....

Well time will tell.. Would be nice to use one before buying.. Sounds like it's going to be pricey..
Not sure if we would trade in one of our GPX's..
Sounds like most dealers don't want trade ins.. Anyway.

Re: How much will you pay up to for the GPZ 7000?
G'day GC,
If I do end up buying the 7000 I will be hanging onto my 5000, until it does prove to be a lot better. Then who knows there maybe a good secondhand 5000 on the market, if Jen doesn't like it that is.
Cheers.
Mike.
