V3i Upgrade
ATT whites Electronics.
Ok now bare with me for a minute while i help you out some, in regards to giving us a little left out piece of the V3i.
Here's what im thinking...
We all know you upgrade the vx3 to v3i via some software link. well....we want that link. And here's how your going to give it to us.
Pull me up anytime when you think iv over stepped the line.
Whatever receptacle your using, make it a tee piece so that we can unplug it from the board, place the new tee piece receptacle in, and replace the original one. Now attached to that receptacle will be a means of data transmission, you can chose whatever you feel would be the better cabling/ribbon. On the end of that transmission cable will be a USB 3 plug as found in the common PC.
From here you will send this tee fitting with instructions out to your dealers so it can be passed on for a price to the end user to fit/install via DIY...or for a small fee, be fitted/installed by the dealer. Along with the cable and tee piece, the software installation containing the program needed for the end user to un complicate the programming of said detector. This program should also contain the necessary program for a number of other features which include settings transfer via the net with code/encryption so as to not be corrupted. Should corruption occur, a means of rectification or simply not function-able IF corrupted. An APP linking via wireless would also be nice so i/we can swap/modify/transfer out in the field via mobile phone/Tablet.
The program should also have the ability to monitor the operations of the said detector, via wireless to an onlooker or trainer monitoring with a tablet ect ect.
There we go...should be fairly easy for you guys to pull that off and have it available before...lets say xmas 2014.
Oh, and since i put it out there, i want mine for free...and a couple more coils, and new decals, a stand and screen replacement along with a carbon fiber shaft..complete shaft that is, not just the bottom half.

Re: V3i Upgrade
I don't see any problem with that, I think they will jump at it ASAP, and they should also thank your for the suggestion.

Re: V3i Upgrade
The silly thing about it is...they already have wireless headphone ability.....you would think they might have extended that capability to transfer to the PC.
No one detector does it all ay.?
No one detector does it all ay.?
Re: V3i Upgrade
Ok, iv not heard back from Whites now and its been 24hrs or more since i posted a way to right this wrong of theirs.
Im hurt, feeling a little rejected, perhaps their PCs are down and they cannot reply.? Maybe they knocked off for xmas early.?
Never mind, im sure they'll right this wrong soon enough and my personal anguish will subside.
PS, do Whites read this forum.???
