Battery life and coils and sizes/types... ?
I note the minelab manual for the 4500 states that aftermarket coils can reduce the battery use time by up to 30%.
What i wonder is, does coil size or type play a factor in that.
I guess it may?
Anyone know with a definative answer?
Cheers, Ferris.

G'day Ferrousfinder.
The coils that Minelab are refering to are the Coiltek PRO series. They're the only coils i know of that can drain battery power by at least 20% more faster than all other brand coils, due to the type of coil winding wire used.
