Hi guys I am new to gold detecting

Hi guys    I am totally new to gold detecting. So interested to learn so will be doing a lot of basic reading. Have coin detected in the past then gave it away for a more active form of fossicking.  Slowing down more so back to detecting as well.

Prospecting for gemstones  etc  I have 15 years or more behind me. Panned a bit of gold when I remember to put the pan under the sieves and am not flat out looking for sapphires

Trouble with sapphires is most are not cutters  & you can't melt them .
All gold is good gold

you are looking for sapphires? Go to Madagascar! Some locals have them in their pockets not knowing what it is ! The same
counts for rubies. If you are interested to know more, just shoot me a message.
In Zambia you ll find them as well (...in the pockets).
In the North of Madagascar I panned 32 ounces of the yellow stuff in one day; Madagascar is a paradise !
