Hi all,

Firstly Merry Xmas to everyone, have a safe and golden Xmas and look forward to catching up with allot of you in the new year.

Just letting you all know Wombat and myself finally got down the the Peter Mac Foundation on Friday to drop off all the money that was raised from this years Gold Bash.

We met up with some very nice people from the Foundation including the CEO who was just so grateful for what we all had achieved. She made a comment that with this amount of money the Foundation can really make a difference which was just great to hear.

So now it's time to sit back reflect on what you all achieved, give yourselves a BIG pat on the back knowing that you have do some real good in 2013 that just might change a life.

After Xmas Wombat will start the ball rolling on the 2014 Bash, so please come forward, put your hand up and help out, let's make 2014 bigger, better and more fun than 2013.

Merry Xmas

As what Peter had said we both met up in the City and headed out to Peter Mac. for the presentation and meeting up with Carl Young, the Fundraising Director and his staff. They all could not believe how much we raised it such a sort time. They were also saying that it was a substantial amount of money to the extent that they could put it to direct use, and not just putting it into a pool like most donations that they receive. Peter Mac were saying that one in ten people will be stuck down with this disease, but with people like us giving donations they have a good chance of bring down that number in the coming years.
I know one thing and that's how very proud I was in handing over that money and representing you and the forum for what we all achieved. This was thanks to you and our sponsors. Thanks everyone, job well done. Feel Very Proud Of Your Selves.

Now we have to look forward to next years Bash and to plan our next move to make this even bigger and better than the 2013 bash. But to do this we are going to have to have a committee. I have already had some forum members putting up their hand to help next year, thank you. but there is always room for more. We need new ideas put forward and we need to know from people that were there this year if they could see were we need improving. I am planning to have our first committee meeting late Feb early March, so between now and then we need our thinking caps on.
