Some historical gold activity about 10 -20 km west of Nicholson Queensland, there names are Fortune, Eagle Buck creek, Red Hill. Tjuambi, Golara, Namalangi, Garee, Barren creek and Huarabagoo. These are the closest to Burketown and are west near NT-Qld boarder. That's all I can tell you.
