G'day Goldslinger

If you are talking about the battery booster, the GPX 4000 don't come with an internal booster, it is only on the GPX4500 battery.

Unless you have your GPX4000 hooked up to a GPX4500 batery then it is only an external booster that you will have or need.

If you have the 4500 battery then you have a choice of using the internal booster or by passing it an using an external booster (as I do on my GPX4500) and use the B&Z booster with twin external speakers.

cheers dave

Goldslinger, What Dave is saying is The "internal Audio booster" is in the battery of a GPX 4500. The 4000 does not have a built in audio booster any where, so your option is to either run a 4500 battery or buy an external booster. I have a GPX 4000 and i just run an external audio booster.

Cheers Matt

Hi Matt
what can i say other than acording to my detector and the manuel that comes with it, it dose have audio boost
as you say it could be a 4500 battery but the 4500 hadn't come out when i bought the detector as the 4000 had only just been released

Hi Goldsling, I think the manual is refering to audio boost as a audio type setting along with normal and quiet wich just changes the signal sound response. I can assure you there is no built in enhancer/booster.
