Hello all, just signed up and looking around the site.
I am new to detecting, have a GPX 4000 and recently went on a Tag along tour in the W.A. Goldfields.
Had a great time and found my first gold ( a verry small peice, but verry good for the confidence in equipment and self).
Hope to do more sooner rather than later.

The 4000 is a very capable machine and I found a lot of gold with the one I had. I did find that with the original battery I had to use a booster on mine as there was not a lot of volume. I think that is the reason Minelab incorporated a booster in the 4500/5000 batteries, but as I said they are a very capable machine. Hope to hear more and see some pics of your finds in the near future. Q01
