sharp setting on 4500 info please
Hi all has anyone had any sucess using sharp mode on the 4500.
I,m thinking of playing around with this setting next time I go out using different coils. I,m thinking of using a coil tec 18" and 14" coiltec pro both are DD,s. Can anyone surgest some setting they found work in hot ground.
thanks for any info.

Hi captain 101,
I've been thinking about using the sharp feature too. You're on the right track with the DD coil, but this feature throws out a pretty intense signal which may cause a rise in EMI. It also uses more power.
It's definately worth experimenting with, but so far I haven't heard of any feedback. What I want to do is run this setting on a testbed in central vic and see how it performs in the field with different sized gold at different depths, and playing around with the settings till something clicks. You probably know that to access this feature you need to select "special" on the front cap.
I'll let you know how I go when I get a chance to test it,
cheers, goldenbrown...
