With any type of Photocopy document if you require that document to represent the original document. It must be witnessed by a JP or you can take it with the original into any police station and have it witnessed as been true and correct. And then and only then can you use the photocopy document in place of the original. Remember this rule applies to all types of photocopy documents.

Re: Victorian Miners Right
I'm with you Madtuna I'd produce it if asked, nothing to hide and it is much easier to get along with these guys. Why start a slinging match over a bit of paper and make things hard for yourself for no reason....but if your a nutbag ring the bell and go a round with him....He'll win!
When I renewed my miners right last month the DPI office laminated it for me for free, I leave this on my dash when out bush, that way they know what I'm up to without comming looking for me, the only ranger I've come across so far pointed me into a good location for detecting.
Cheers

Murachu, It was around Castlemaine area that this occoured about 2 years ago.
Not many places to detect around this area without a fair drive, although there are some old gem fields south of here that I must get to one day and have a poke around.
I agree that it is the way you're asked/spoken to, I stand firm by that and always have that if I'm spoken to rudely first then I will return the favour no matter what name is on the shirt!
It's not hard to be polite!

Re: Victorian Miners Right
I keep losing and finding my miners right.
I currently have 3 valid ones all with diffrent numbers and dates, just because i get a new one when i can't find the old one.
Got a nice collection going too - one from Melb Miners Den, one from Bendigo Gold World and one from Tony at Dunolly.
Might have to get one from Horsham (laminated, eh?)

10 Year Permit (Miners Right) is now available.
The cost of the 10 year licence now available is $83.65, compared with the 2 year version @ $29.90 (save $65.85 over 10 years).
In regards to a downloaded/online purchase being legal/original, yes it is once you put pen to paper.
