Highbanker Advice
Hi new to this part of the forum.I have some questions about highbankers. 1 do i need a ball valve to control the water flow. 2 what size holes and how far apart do they need to be on the spray bar and do i need two rows of holes. 3 can i use just a strainer and no foot valve on the pick up pipe. I am using 1 inch pvc pipe for the spray bar and the pump is a 1,5 inch petrol
Its a long time since i have used one of these they were called bank concentraters those days and we could use them as a dredge in some spots with a license but thats all changed these days.

If you are running a small one inch pump i would run 1.5 to 2 mm holes placed one inch apart along two rows. 3 can i use just a strainer and no foot valve on the pick up pipe. On your pick up hose the idea is to keep it above the river/creek bottom you must use a strainer covered with a filter. It would depend on the pump type if you needed a foot valve or not i.e is your pump self priming or is it a non self priming pump I am using 1 inch pvc pipe for the spray bar and the pump is a 1,5 inch petrol
