New to the Pilbara
Hi all,
I have been watching this site for some time now and have found a lot of helpful info...So firstly..Thank you all for sharing!
I was always a kid who used to spend their days gold panning in Ballarat so the Fever has always been there We used to find some good pea size nuggs and since reading this site i now understand what i was looking at a little better..I have been reading info from old news to current company reports for about the last 6 months.. I have down loaded a file for GE re old mines...Am starting to get information constipation!!
Now with 3 kids i need to find some locations to take my 2 boys out too so i can show them how its all done and see if we can find a nugget or 2. We have been out to marble bar but was a bit hot to look around to much plus the coongan was about to flood and lock us in
I am thinking about to making a cradle and sluice that self wash so that i do not need to be near water but still have pans just in-case. Am looking at getting a detector if anyone can suggest a good cheap starter model. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated..I do not ask you to give up your spots but just general locations would be great.you never know..put me in the right spot and you just might get a slice of the pie!!. Once again...Thanx guys for sharing. P.S.... If anyone up here feels like having a tag along please let me know...am happy just to go out and watch and learn what too look for.

Gday mate-im in hedland aswell, send us a PM if you ever want to head out.
As for the detector mate, if your on facebook, join up to port hedland blokes **** for sale, theres a GPX 3500 currently for sale on there. Also premier tyre and auto in Karratha run by a fellow member of this site (oneday69) sells detector stuff and may have some trade ins or something.

Re: New to the Pilbara
Gday mate,
Just sent you a PM but for get to mention tengraph, jump on to the site and get access, and then you can check if the spots you want to have a look at are leased or not.
Speak to you later.
