Hi l2obin,
Welcome to the forum.
Joining a forum is very good start.Lot of posts and heaps to learn.
Join a local detecting club is always good as well.Most of them have a monthly trip and there is an opportunity to go in goldfileds and see from more experience members how is done.
Do a day training and you will save years trying to figure out what to do and where to look.
Buy the best metal detector you can afford.
