Ipad and moving maps Empty Ipad and moving maps

Post  TOMBSTONE Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:31 am

If your looking for detailed topo maps for Ipad (need the GPS version) look at "memory map" at the app store (think it was $7 something for 1:250000 aust map) Its a moving map so you can see your position while moving. There's a converter some where on the web to convert other maps to the same format. Its basic but it works quite well. (no where near the stuff that Windows based Oziexplorer can do) cheers Paul

Ipad and moving maps Empty iPad and GISroam

Post  Kudu Sun Dec 30, 2012 8:49 am

Just wants to know whether any member/s are using an iPad with GISroam as their mapping platform when doing detecting?

I am currently looking at the above and would like if we could share our knowledge and experience.

Best

I have the GISroam app on my ipad, looks good but not sure yet of were to find the maps for QLD to run on it. If some one could drop a clue would be great! Have the Hemi 4WD app as well that looks pretty good.
Cheers Peter.
