Minelab Golden Hawk
Does anyone else out there own a Minelab Golden Hawk? I am trying to find info on them but there isn't alot on the net. Are they a good VLF detector? Can I mod the coil lead to except newer GP type coils?
Any help on this would be great.

Re: Minelab Golden Hawk
Yeah golden hawk is a good VLF, very smooth and decent depth. Haven't owned one but used one a few times over the years. The coil uses a different military type plug, so if you wanted to try a different coil on there you'd have to source one of these plugs first. It came out after the XT18000 so it uses similar technology, so the coils from the XT18000 & Eureka Gold should work, but doubt it would work with gp coils - different technology! Id just stick to the standard 8 inch coil, seemed to work just fine. Let us know how you go with it..
