G'day Zeus ... welcome to the forum. My name is Kate and I'm from SA. I'm swinging a GPX4000 having just recently upgraded from an SD2000.

Stick around here mate! You'll learn heaps of stuff that will set you right with your detecting. There are many very experienced operators, each bringing their own slant on things ... pick up as much as you can, and then go put it into practice ... enjoy the bush and the company!

Welcome aboard Zues, there is plenty of good info here, and many people that are willing to help and answer questions for people like yourself and others that are new to the gold detecting/fossicking hobby.
