Long Gully Gold - Forsayth

After Flat Creek Station I went to Long Gully Gold which is another large property and it takes a bit of time to become familiar with the area. Again, I thank Lee (from this forum) for assistance and input to find it and also Brian and Jan from the Townsville Metal Detecting Club for taking the time to drive the circular property track with us and their company.

The campground is is just a basic area on the property with no amenities so best be self-sufficient. There is a dam near the campground and it was great to watch the kangaroos and wallabies plus the bird life come for a drink in the afternoon. Again, it was very hot and dry when we were there and no finds for me. Two guys in the next camp had some success but remained pretty tight lipped.
