Digging out " The Gentleman Prospector " Reef ...

G`day all ,
Here are a few still pics from a recent dig . The undiscovered reef was found by one of the guys in our group Morris aka " The gentleman prospector " . We worked this discovery for 6 days averaging over an ounce a day of free gold & quartz specimans . TheGoldenChild was kind enough to help out with the labour intensive pick & shovel dig - smashing through quartz spurs , hard gravels & compacted clay .
We managed to shoot over 2hrs of footage which we are currently compiling into a 2 dvd set ... thinking we might have a crack at selling them for $ 20.00 . ( no fancy lighting or special effects - just down to earth dirty digging & colour ) . PM me if your interested .
Had a couple of Gold detecting shops say they would put it up on there big screen & have it playing once we have finished putting it together .

What a Hoot that would have been, Congrats guys ! Yeah i know a lot of hard yakka but you were duelly rewarded.

Fellows what a great find. That would have been like what the old times were looking for and working back in the 1850's. What a feeling and exciting times you guy most have felt. Well Done I would be interested in the dvd.when you bring it out.

Wow, I am speechless! Thats the stuff dreams are made of and
obviously not just back in the 1850's. Hope you can secure the
location with a mining lease and get to the 'bottom' of it all, you
never now, this could only be the tip of the ice berg.
I'll definitely have one of your DVD sets, will send you a pm.

Hi Deutran - all the gold we collected was detected ... we know for sure that alot of the throw out dirt was carrying a lot of fine gold & tiny little pieces . We are not too interested in the fines

WOW Gully Hunter, super effort between all you blokes, just goes to show that effort does = reward. Thanks for sharing a preview of your story, and its good that you got all that footage for DVD as well. All I can say is bloody fantastic fellas.

What can I say apart from the pictures don't do it this dig justice......much better on video .
Was stocked just to be there and possibly share in a rare or even a once in a lifetime experience, doing it like the old timers .
A lot of hard work but the rewards were great, thanks to Morris for letting me be part of it .

A truly great find and hard won in the spirit of the old timers...congratulations

Now a mate and i recently had a good dig at a 'glory hole' and we got 27 bits out of it...but for only 8 grams ....but a lot of hard digging and a lot of fun sharing the experience.
