Steel Blue make airport friendly boots. The "Canberra" range are metal free and they can also come with the rubber toe re-inforcement....for kicking rocks!

Metal free boots - Page 3 Empty Magnum Men's Elite Spider 8.0 Boots

Post  buzzdog Fri Nov 11, 2011 12:23 pm

Hi all,
I too have been looking around for a good set of metal free boots, after doing some research and digging around I picked up a set of Magnum Men's Elite Spider 8.0 Boots off e-bay, via the link below. The prices are very reasonable and the seller responds quickly to both questions and enquires regarding these boots. I just can't believe how light they are, even compared to my issued combat boots!

Anyone looking at getting a set of metal free boots should take these into consideration.

Cheers

I had a pair of boots with these aeromesh (KingGee)panels in the sides and found that those needle sharp grass seeds you find in the WA goldfields go straight through and into your foot. Full leather up past the ankles for me.

Toadskin,

If the boots you like best have that porous material, just put a good layer of silicon glue
over that part, it becomes impenetrable.

I always use my boot to refill holes,so I stick with the good ole Redbacks.
Been down the lace up road years ago,and always ended up with dirt in my boots.
Got my last 2 pairs on special at Rays outdoors for $65.
