Up Grading from a 4500 to a 5000

Hi Young TuT again

I was talking to a bloke thats been gold prospecting with me in the past in Port Hedland.He was telling me him and his mate got there 4500 upgraded to a 5000.They went prospecting up to Marble Bar to try there new state of the arc detectors out.And came home fuming because there detectors would not work properly and noisy as hell.One of the blokes has sent his back to try and get It soughted out silly fools

Can we have one guess as to who "modified" them?

When will they ever learn, a 4500 is a 4500 and a 5000 is a 5000 and one will not morph into the other like a moth from a caterpillar

By the time they get it all sorted, if that is possible, I reckon that the change over price from a 4500 to a propper 5000 will look cheap.

I had to question a member of another forum who said his 3000 was converted to a 4000+ spec detector, now thats one hell of a jump in comparison to a 4500 to 5000 spec.

Its a problem that a few up and coming new detectorists will have to deal with when buying a secondhand detector, that it may have been touched inappropriately.

I got hold of one of those bloke's that got there 4500 upgraded to a 5000 and both of them sent there Detector's off to a bloke In Victoria?

It would be very interesting to know what they intend to do about the "modifications"Tut
How about asking them?
