Upgrade from 4500 to 5000 on ebay

Good morning.
I have a 4500 and I am considering upgrading to a 5000. I was looking on ebay at a possible sell price for my 4500 when I noticed
this guy selling upgrades to the 5000 for $1000. Has any body out there had an upgrade and is this guy reputable.
I remember years ago you could get the 2100 and 2200 upgraded and it proved to be successful.
I can't help thinking that Minelab isn't going to be very happy as he can also upgrade the 4000 to 5000.

I suppose i am looking for a everyday prospector t
that has had this upgrade done and is happy with it.

Gunny I dunno how long you have had your 4500, but I reckon that a 4500 wont miss much at all if you use it properly, get it modded and if something goes wrong and has to be sent to Minelab...........well lets say it wont be fixed, so its up to you.

Just keep using what you got as its a damn good machine.

Be very carefull In what you do, My friend sent his Minelab 3500 to get upgraded to a 4500 he was promised he could use mono coils with his new upgrade he tried to use mono he Is back to DD coils and Minelab wont have a bar In fixing his problem
