Hello . l am thinking of selling a GP 3000 on ebay. l was wondering does the detector have a lithium battery. If so am l allowed to post it with Australia post? would it travel by air or land? l think l heard lithium batteries are not allowed to travel in air freight?

Hi Hotrock
The standard 3000 has a sealed lead acid(gel cell) dome shaped top battery, these are ok.If you have aftermarket battery setup it is most likely Lithium iron camera type batteries that slot in to a holder. You won't be able to send these by air. Some couriers may deliver in Aus I think.

Thanks so the big heavy battery isn't lithium but the small light ones could be. Would Australia post send a detector by air freight or land freight?
